Advanced Creative Nonfiction Feedback Group

WEDNESDAYS, MARCH 1-APRIL 19
12:30-2:30PM Central Time
ONLINE

Do you long to get feedback on your writing from a supportive group of peers? Are you ready to revise your essays or memoir instead of letting them languish?

This eight-week workshop group is designed for creative nonfiction writers who have a good fundamental understanding of craft and revision and have experience giving and receiving feedback in group settings.

Drawing on Liz Lerman’s Critical Response Process and The Antiracist Writing Workshop by Felicia Rose Chavez, this group will strengthen your ability to listen to your own wisdom while giving you support and insight from other writers.

Who is this for?

  • You write creative nonfiction and regularly read essays and/or memoirs

  • You have a good fundamental understanding of craft and revision and want to deepen your skills

  • You already have some workshop experience and want to strengthen your feedback skills in a supportive yet rigorous group setting

  • You have several essays or memoir excerpts and want support turning them into finished pieces

  • You can commit to 1-2 hours for reading and giving feedback outside of class each week

PAY FROM THE HEART TUITION: $100-300
Sustainable rate: $200

I offer sliding scale “pay from the heart” tuition. The price that is sustainable for me is $200.

Paying a higher price means you are supporting students who need to pay less. Paying a lower price means that your tuition is supported by others who can pay more.

Please choose the amount that best meets your circumstances and what feels right in your heart.

If you need a scholarship or a payment plan, please contact me.

This class is now full. Join the waitlist for future instances below.

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • If you cancel 10 or more days before the class starts, you will receive a full refund.

  • If you cancel after that time, you will receive a recording and handouts from the class (online classes only) or credit toward a future class, depending on your preference.

  • If you cancel on the day of the class, don't show up, or leave early, you will not receive either a refund or credit.

  • On rare occasions, I may need to cancel a class due to unforeseen circumstances. If that happens, I will do my best to reschedule for a time when all students can attend.
