Hi, I’m Rebecca!

I help poets and essayists develop a kind and sustainable writing practice.

If you dream of publishing a book, finishing a single piece, or just getting words on the page and you’re tired of fear and overwhelm getting in the way, I’m here to support you.

I bring a contemplative lens to my teaching and 1:1 mentoring, drawn from twenty years of meditation practice and a lifetime of creative writing.

If you study with me, you can expect to develop a consistent writing practice, make clear progress towards your goals, learn craft tools, and engage in the ongoing practice of making friends with your mind.

I am passionate about social and environmental justice, and I bring a deep and ongoing commitment to anti-oppression work to both my personal and professional life.

I live on Ho-Chunk land in Madison, Wisconsin with my two cats Finn and Freya.
