Now What? Creative Nonfiction Revision Workshop

wednesdays, October 30 - November 20
6-8 PM CST | Arts + Literature Laboratory

You’ve sweated through a first draft of your essay or a section of your memoir. You’ve shared it with friends—or maybe just read it to your cat. Now what?

In this class, we’ll begin unpacking the biggest and most mysterious phase of the writing process: revision. You’ll learn numerous tools for nurturing an early draft into completion and have the chance to share your writing and get feedback from your peers.

By the end of this class, you’ll:

  • Understand the basics of revising creative nonfiction

  • Grow your ability to tell if your piece is ready or needs more work

  • Explore what to do when you get stuck

  • Share some of your writing and get feedback from the class

  • Connect with a community of other writers

tuition: $112
