Befriending the Inner Critic
SATURDAYS, JUNE 11-JULY 16
11:00AM-1:00PM CST
ONLINE VIA ZOOM
You’re not a real writer. This sucks. What a cliche. Everyone else has it figured out but you.
Sound familiar? No matter how long we’ve been writing, the inner critic can still haunt us, showing up in the form of harsh thoughts, fear, procrastination, and perfectionism.
In this six-week class, we’ll use the tools of mindfulness to understand the inner critic, befriend this often-misunderstood part of ourselves, and learn to keep writing through it all.

Each class will include:
Guided meditation
Writing prompts designed to develop self-compassion, creative flexibility, and trust in ourselves and our writing
Optional group sharing and a gentle yet powerful contemplative feedback practice
