Are you longing to dive deep into your writing but need a little support? On this spacious half-day mindful writing retreat, you’ll rejuvenate your writing practice, nourish your nervous system, and connect your creative voice in a compassionate community of other writers.

In this video, I offer a sneak peek into the Mindful Writing Retreat, including a short guided meditation and a writing prompt on slowing down.

CLASS OUTCOMES:

In this four-hour retreat, you’ll:

  • Create fresh new work using mindful writing prompts

  • Practice guided meditation

  • Learn tools to tame the inner critic

  • Receive supportive feedback on your writing

  • Nourish your nervous system 

  • Connect with a compassionate community of other writers

  • Leave with new tools under your belt to inspire your creative practice

Writers of all levels (adults 18+) are welcome! No meditation experience necessary. Registration limited to twelve students.

PAY FROM THE HEART TUITION

  • $125 - full rate

  • $100 - sustainable rate

  • $75 - reduced rate

I offer a range of “pay from the heart” tuition options. The price that is sustainable for me is listed in the middle, with lower and higher options available. ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:

Rebecca Jamieson has practiced writing and meditation for almost twenty years. She is a contributing editor to Isele magazine and her writing has appeared in numerous publications, including The Offing, Entropy, Hunger Mountain, Rattle, Lion’s Roar, Calyx, and Voicecatcher. Her chapbook of poems, The Body of All Things, was published by Finishing Line Press in 2017. Rebecca holds a BA in Writing, Mindfulness, and Psychology from Marylhurst University and an MFA in Writing & Publishing from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. She lives on traditional Ho-Chunk land in Madison, Wisconsin.
